The 2008 Season... 6/4/2008 (Tuesday, 11:00AM) Kevin’s first round at Cornell was a little disappointing, two strokes worse than last year (78 vs. 76 last year). He was in the middle of the pack around 50th or so. On Monday morning, Kevin worked on his putting. His round on Monday was and absolute clinic. He hit or was on the fringe on 16 of 18 greens. He three putted only once (from 50 feet). In spite of that three putt and an out of bounds by two feet on the 8th hole (2 stroke penalty), he fired an even par 72, second best score of the day. He finished 9th (moving up 40, or so, positions) earning a top 10 finish in a State wide competition and, because he finished in the top 20, a 1st Team all State designation. Congratulations, Kevin!!! For those of you graduating, best of luck in college or any other endeavors. Hopefully you will continue to play golf and keep in touch. Have a safe graduation and summer. For those of you who played in the Section III Tournament, please see Mr. Cass for your certificates and patches. I signed them, but left all else blank so they can be completed by someone with better penmanship than mine. Best wishes, Coach Buhl Collared shirts, knee length shorts, hats (with brims forward) are examples of allowable clothing. No jeans, gym shorts, tank tops, or tee shirts will be allowed. This is a Section III rule for golf and needs be followed going forward. If you cannot make a match (or practice) it is imperative you let me know immediately. If you have not done so previously, please email me at williambuhl@buhlconsulting.com so I can record your email address. Put "Ludden golf" in the subject. Important Message: Practices (tryouts) are important to our competitive sense of confidence and team morale. As was clearly discussed at our initial meeting, practices are not optional and will be held on the weekends, typically Sunday, but Saturday and Sunday until the team is selected in early April. As with any sport, commitment is a major ingredient to a successful season. This commitment is to the game and to your teammates. Any player willfully, not participating in a practice or a match, will sit out the next match in the rotation or one designated by the coach. Prior approval will be granted for certain school, religious, medical, and "immediate family" functions (funerals, weddings, etc.). Having to work will not be considered a valid excuse.Check out 200 7 pictures and videos on tab at left!!!In Memoriam: Patrick T.
